Ms Salamina Molamu is the manager of the Information Services Unit in the eResearch Knowledge Unit at the HSRC. She holds an Honours Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of the Western Cape. She is also in possession of a certificate in Management Development Programme (MDP) from the University of Pretoria. She has over 26 years’ experience in the library and information sector. She worked at various institutions with research, academic and government background. This provided her with a holistic experience of people management and information resources management that enhanced her vision of understanding and fulfilling the information needs of a wide client base. Her goal is to ensure seamless access to information in pursuit of contributing towards the organisation’s mandate. Her current interest is in research scholarship and research impact.
She served as the treasurer for the LIASA Interest Group called Research, Education and Training Interest Group (RETIG). She held the same portfolio at the LIASA Gauteng North Branch prior to this RETIG position for two terms in the office. She presented at a number of LIASA conferences and seminars.
