Work with data

Good data management entails the following:

• Know and comply with policies and procedures
• Collaborate: data producers, curators, data users
• Do data preservation and sharing planning
• Do proper data management - focus on data quality and re-usability as part of good research practice during and on completion of projects
• Do normal research activities, but in a structured, managed way
• Deposit data for curation and participate in curation processes
• Cite data

Curation is easier and quicker when relevant tasks are performed during the research process and NOT retrospectively.
